As an automotive lecturer, I have found that e- learning in that trade and I would suggest others to is not so easy. By the nature of the trade, these trades people work long hours, receive relatively low wages (espescially as apprentices), and often utilise non working time to follow similar pursuits. Consequently they aren't as computer savvy as learners from many other areas. Also the workplaces typically don't have the time/need for computer access to anything other than work related programs. I am currently trying to deliver e-learning in this area, but the interest is very low. - Frank Guerin
